2008 MTV Video Music Awards Looks: Who Hit; Who Missed?! (Part 2)

by Rechelle Tolinero

You’ve already seen the first batch of the various interesting looks (both best and worst) at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards last night on my previous post. And now, let’s continue with our celebrity fashion scope on the recently concluded awards night.

Starting off the second batch is the night’s biggest winner, Britney Spears in a glittering vintage Atelier Versace dress matched with Platt jewels and Jimmy Choo heels. So it took her a year to ‘recover’ from her last year’s VMA disaster number, but Britney showed she indeed can make her comeback. Britney bagged three Moonmen that include the night’s big honor, video of the year, for her hit “Piece of Me.”

Next on the list is American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks who definitely sparkled in her flirty black sequined Betsey Johnson party dress with a bright pink belt. I actually love the classy and charming feel of this dress due the black and pink match.

Now here’s a star I’d like to ask what has gotten on her mind with her look. Surely, Katy Perry knew this is a special event. So what’s with this fashion statement?

Glam and fab! Lindsay Lohan sure knows how to capture the audience’s attention with her second-skin satin dress and dramatic waves. What a chick!

Arriving at the event wearing a black pailette-covered dress and patent gladiator sandals, teen sensation Miley Cyrus indeed glittered last night. She was beautiful and really charming.

They say to save the best for last, in this case, the worst. Yep, last on this batch is a horrendous look of singer, Pink who was clad in a boldly striped Alexis LaMontagne gown, accessorized with Neil Lane jewels. Really, is it Halloween yet? I think I’m seeing Ursula fresh from the seas.
