Love awards nights?
Me, too!
But aside from finding out the winners (and of course the losers) in any awards event, one of the first things that comes to my mind is of course fashion! Because aside from an event to convene the stars, awards events are reasons for celebrities to ‘outdress’ each other.
And so for this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards last Thursday (November 6) held in Liverpool, England, let us find out whose look stood out and grabbed everybody’s attention.
Beyoncé
On the event was bootylicious Beyoncé who arrived wearing a Gareth Pugh’s black dress from the designers Fall ‘08 collection and accessorized with Giuseppe Zanotti heels. While the frock is captivating already, I must say it is B’s hair I love the most. – So classy and oh-so glamorous!
Solange Knowles
Since we’ve put in Beyoncé first, I guess it’s also good to include little sister Solange Knowles who also hit the event’s red carpet in a sequined Emporio Armani Fall 2008 collection.
Katy Perry
The event’s host donned in an amusing Jean-Charles de Castelbajac blue dress with eye detailing on the chest. Well amusing might not be a right word for the look, but one thing’s for sure: I don’t like it!
Sorry Katy, the blue dress and the yellow shoes not to mention the scary make-up just don’t work for me.
Leona Lewis
Wearing a nice pink strapless Marchesa dress, Leona Lewis was indeed captivating. I actually love the ruffles on her dress.
Pink
Leaving her boyish personality, the singer arrived the event wearing a feminine ball gown. But while it is refreshing to see Pink in a feminine frock, I’m afraid it just didn’t get a hit.
