Noted most for her previous collections, “Starry Night,” and “Love Struck” Chen combines playfulness with sophistication creating the East meets West style that she is known for. Using gold vermeil, silver, and semi-precious stones, each piece of jewelry is a small work of art, inspired by the world around it.
And with the line’s affordable price point, Buji Bijoux has women young and old in love with “Love notes,” the designer’s fourth collection, and toasting to “Gatsby tags,” a cheeky and flirty collection of necklaces inspired by early 18th Century liquor decanters which proclaim their love for “Scotch,” “Whiskey,” and “Bourbon,” among others.
From her childhood in the Asian countryside to items found at a West Village antique shop, Chen is moved to create by her surroundings and weaves her ideas into beautiful necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets that entice the vivacious woman in all of us.
