Hey there! On my last post I mentioned about bringing in a new category that will feature Hollywood couples in fashion. As a kick off for this section, I brought in power couple, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

With Tom’s popularity and Katie’s charm, it’s actually not a wonder that the media (not to mention the people) just love them.

Recently, you’ve seen Tom and Katie attend the Los Angeles premiere of the “Tropic Thunder,” which I personally believe not the couple’s best in the fashion department. Now let’s see if the following photos will showcase the couple’s ‘unity’ and ‘coherence’ in the context of style.

Attending the 2008 MTV Movie Awards on June 1, 2008 in California, we see the couple looking fresh and casual. With Katie sporting on her signatured bob cut hair (she and used-to-be pal, Victoria both had their versions of the bob), ‘guess it didn’t really matter if she was on a pair of jeans or a glamorous gown.

Unity wise, I believe the couple complimented each other here with their looks.

Being in hiatus for a while probably gave me the time to explore my creativity (if I ever had one). You know, out of nowhere, the idea of coming out with a new category here in Celebrity Fashion Watch just popped out.

Well I am a hopeless romantic and a fashionista at heart, and so I thought of coming out a category that will feature some of Hollywood’s biggest couples as compliment (or break) each other in the fashion department.

As a kick off for this category, I thought of bringing in a couple that has been a favorite of reporters and fashion blogs altogether. And no, it’s not Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, not even David and Victoria Beckham, but they’re actually related to the latter.

I am talking about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes…

Yup, after they got married in Italy in November 2006, this power couple has since then been seen together in parties, red carpets, and even the public standing out with their high edge fashion styles.
Often compared with their close pal couple Beck and Posh, Tom and Katie have somewhat shown that they can bring out the best (and sometimes worst) in each other (at least in the fashion department).

He is the epitome of a man in fashion and style while she is the picture of class and elegance every woman would want to be. Indeed, David Beckham and his wife Victoria hold the title as one of Hollywood’s most stylish couples.

Making a grand and royalty-like entrance, the pair arrives at the 2008 ESPY Awards held at NOKIA Theatre in California with such fashion authority.

Although these two pairs never really admit there’s competition between them (at least in the fashion department), it is quite obvious that the pairs, Tom and Katie Cruise, and David and Victoria Beckham are discreetly trying to outshine each other in every event they attend to.

The latest would be last night’s Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala “Superheroes: Fashion And Fantasy�? in New York City.

Although Posh-Becks and Tom-Kat are known to be really good friends, I know deep inside them is in for a competition (especially the wives).

And so to indulge them with their ‘secret’ contest, who do you think among these two pairs dressed best during Victoria Beckham’s 34th birthday celebration in Beverly Hills?

Victoria, accompanied by David who was so macho with his beard, was looking so classy and posh (of course) wearing a sexy black and white pencil cut dress. And although I don’t usually like looking at stars with fake boobs, I think Victoria’s are just okay.

On the other hand, Katie and Tom graced the event with matching sunglasses. I, however, have a problem with these two’s outfit. Katie’s golden yellow frock looked so antique (not classic, not retro). While Tom’s suit looked so big in him that he appeared to be a midget standing by his wife.

And so for the best dressed pair, I guess I’d have to go with the Becks here. And that’s not because it’s Vic’s birthday.

Since we’re talking about the best dressed couple, I thought Posh Spice and husband David just brought out the best in each other holding hands and looking so regal as if they’re royalties.

Sorry Tom-Kat, why don’t you try getting a new stylist?!

Love is truly in the air. And since it’s Valentine’s Day, let’s turn into a mushy mood with this special post about three of Hollywood’s fashionable and much talked-about pairs. Let’s try to look back how their love stories blossomed and made us all believe in LOVE.

Couple 1: Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes

Theirs was a whirlwind romance. Tom just came out of his relationship with Penelope Cruz while Katie just broke up boyfriend, Chris Klein. After dating for two months, these two celebs got engaged after a very romantic proposal of Tom on the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. And on November 18, 2006 the couple known as Tom-Kat proved that love knows no age (Tom was almost twice Katie’s age) as they tied the knot in a private but much-celebrated wedding in Italy.

After a year of marriage, Katie gave birth to their first born, Suri.

Couple 2: David and Victoria Beckham

A sport superstar and a pop singer advocating girl power. Most people believe they are a perfect match. As one of (then) UK’s most famous couple, David and Victoria’s love story has been followed closely by the media. No, they didn’t meet in an online casino game. David Beckham met Victoria Adams, who was then part of the girl group, Spice Girls at a charity football match in 1997. This prompted David to request a meeting with Vic. After dating for a year, the couple announced their engagement.

With their four month old son, Brooklyn as ring bearer, the couple then said “I do�? in July 4, 1999 at the Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland. A wedding that seem to have ‘outfamed’ the best online casinos in the world.

Moving to Los Angeles, the couple is enjoying every bit of fame and fortune as celebrities together with their three sons, Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz.

Couple 3: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie

Well who on earth doesn’t know this couple?! Having established their own big names in Hollywood, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie probably is world’s most famous couple.

Brad and Ange fell in love on the set of their movie, Mr. and Mrs. Smith. This prompted the public to point Ange the reason for the hunk actor’s ruined marriage to actress, Jennifer Aniston.

Ange then was committed to being a single mom to her adopted son, Madox when she was paired with Brad for the flick.

Not until Brad and Jen announced their break-up in 2005 did the couple been public about their relationship.
Now, the couple is still in love and happy with their children, Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh (their first born), and Pax.

It’s the first of February; so as the month of hearts kicks off, I thought about being mushy for a while. Well fresh from the Screen Actors Guild Awards’ cutest and sweetest couples, here’s another cute one from expecting parents, Cash Warren and Jessica Alba at the Los Angeles premiere of “The Eye Premiere�? in California.

Awwww… Don’t we all love seeing sweet moments like this? They both look lovely and happy; now I’m surely hearing wedding bells.

Anyway, since this is a ‘yet another’ Jessica Alba post, am surely not going to miss this chance of expressing my admiration for her. Isn’t she dazzling with her growing baby bump? I think she’s looking more and more beautiful in her way to motherhood. I so love stars who wear their baby bumps as if it were just a piece of fashion trend.

The 14th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards wasn’t just a day of recognizing actors who showed exemplary performance in the past year neither was it just a day for celebrities to flaunt and show off their fabulous signatured frocks. It was also an event for Hollywood couples to make it a date and spend time together with pals.

So, who were the hottest and sweetest couples at last night’s SAG? Check ‘em out…

Well there’s Canadian actor Chris Diamantopoulos and wife Becki Newton who were still looking good and in-love after two years of marriage. And don’t you love that “She’s mine�? pose of Chris? Awwwwwwww….
