Celebrity Fashion Watch

If it’s glamorous and eye-catching looks we are talking about at the 62nd Annual Cannes Film Festival, I guess Eva Longoria-Parker should be one of those who would top the list.

Clad in a silk organza embroidered ball gown by Versace Atelier for the premiere of Bright Star at the Palais des Festivals, I must admit I had to pick my jaw on the floor looking at this oh-so glamorous looks. Wow, just wow!

I, however, just have a teenie-weenie bit of a problem with this look though; it’s enormous train! Really, how the actress managed to walk the red carpet with that huge and obviously heavy train is still a wonder for me.

Well I guess that’s just how fashion is, what is a heavy train for those audience in awe with the look, right?!

For events like the Costume Institute Gala, stars going in monochromes are never absent. No wonder fashion gurus say these should be staples in your wardrobe.

Now let us see who among the attendees of Monday’s event hit or missed with their monochrome looks.

Marisa Tomei

Clad in a vintage Adrian gown, Marisa Tomei was nothing but – well, vintage at the event. There isn’t much I can say about the look as I don’t find anything spectacular in it nor do I find anything in it to be a miss.

Eva Longoria

In a Diane von Furstenberg design, Eva Longoria definitely sizzled at the event. Talk about oh-lala, huh?! This is just one hot, hot, hot look!

Tyra Banks

I don’t know what Tyra Banks is thinking wearing this Badgley Mischka gown but whatever that is she better have a good reason. Why the gown looks so much like rubber I wonder how it feels.

Winona Ryder

There are only two words I can say with this look: effort please! Oh, this is effort already?!

Claudia Schiffer

Okay, if monochromes with an edge is the topic, I guess Claudia Schiffer’s should be one of the contenders. Although I’m not really crazy about it, I should give credit to the creativity and imagination of its maker.

Ciara

Playing black and white in a very suave way, Ciara arrived at the event in an Emilio Pucci creation. I love the fluidity of the gown and its sophistication, but I don’t think it has the wow factor in it.

Ashley Olsen

Ending this list of celebrities in monochromes is the look that really made my jaw drop in amazement. – Ashley Olsen’s ice white The Row gown. Other times I would really find this oversized gown unflattering, but Ashley did manage to own this look and made such ethereal presence.

With these stars here, I guess it still ain’t bad to be monochromatic sometimes.

Eva Longoria-Parker may be one of TV’s most fashionable and experimental (when it comes to styling) personalities. But attending the TV Guide’s Sexiest Stars 2009 at the Sunset Towers Hotel in California yesterday (March 24), the Desperate Housewives star kept it all simple and classy with a slinky chocolate dress frock that matched her long locks.

Love it

I’m not a fan of monochromes but the chocolate dress here that matched her hair just brought out Eva’s innate elegance and glamour. You know, it’s simple but hard to miss.

Hate it

This is supposed to be an even recognizing TV’s sexiest stars, so why dress up like in a charity or ribbon cutting event?! For someone who’s known to love to dress up, this is quite a disappointing look.

We’ve seen Jessica Alba and America Ferrera show off their looks at the recently conducted ALMA Awards. But what about the other stars who also graced the event last Sunday at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium?

Starting from the youngest in the group, Ashley Tisdale definitely looked hot and lovely with her oh-so sexy yellow dress. Other times I would have thought of this look as another-young-star-trying-to-look-mature, but I guess there’s just something with Ashley’s aura that tells me otherwise.

I just love this look.

While checking over various websites for today’s post, I stumbled upon this section from InStyle.com which features a peek of various stars’ wardrobes. And I thought, well, why not? I’m sure most fashionistas like me would be interested to take a look at their favorite celebs’ closets, right?!

Filled with a wide range of gowns, shoes, shirts, and bags, Eva Longoria’s 133-square-foot master closet in her L.A. is so sleek and simple that I would want to hang out there most of the times.

I must admit that I didn’t expect the simplicity of Eva’s wardrobe. But nonetheless, I think it shows much of this Desperate Housewives star’s personality.

Doing the cover for InStyle’s March issue, Eva Longoria is definitely looking fresh and in-love! Clad in a halter yellow and gray printed dress ready for spring, Mrs. Parker is a sight to behold.

For the mag’s interview, the 32-year-old Desperate Housewives star, talks about life as a married woman. Being married to NBA superstar, Tony Parker, Eva mentions her say on attaching Parker to her last name. “I love my new name. In Texas people are so formal, so it’s ‘Mrs. Parker.’ I feel old! But I love it.�?

Aside from her non-tiring yap about her married life, Eva also dished about fashion, bragging her more than 200 pairs of shoes and 50 pairs of jeans! Like WOW!

Looking at the cover, Eva sure is having the time of her life.
