I must’ve been so left behind in the fashion and Hollywood scene that I actually didn’t know that Lauren Conrad is actually a fashion designer, and a good one for that matter. Okay, I know most people would probably say, “Duh! That’s not news!� but really, I didn’t know.

If I didn’t see this cute photo of her peeking out from the backstage of her Lauren Conrad Collection Fall 2008 show at the Mercedes-Benz L.A. Fashion Week then I wouldn’t have really known.

Looking this excited, The Hills star sure looked like she just got herself a 5 free ringtone bonus for her subscriptions for ringtones from Remy Ma. At 22, Lauren has really gone so far from a reality show personality to an actress and now a designer.

Oh, I think I’m back to dreaming of having a fashion career again.

It’s time for the famous designers to show off their collection for the Fall/Winter of 2008/2009 through the Milan Fashion Week. And although I may not be a huge fan of the fashion week, it’s still good to see what these designers have to offer for the coming seasons. Of course we will be taking note to some of their pieces as I am sure several of these would surely appear on Hollywood’s red carpets and party events.

Here are some of the notable pieces (according to my taste) from some of the designers that took part at the fashion week.

Salvatore Ferregamo’s collection was more on the casual and chic edge. The first photo really caught my interest because of its simplicity and class. Love it!

I am a fashionista by heart. But unlike true blue die hard fashionistas, I’m one of a few who isn’t really that interested into fashion weeks. Well I guess that’s quite obvious with this blog; ever remember me posting about fashion weeks until now?

Anyway, on top are two photos of models walking the runway featuring two of Andres Sarda’s Autumn/Winter 2008/2009 collection at Madrid Fashion Week Pasarela Cibeles in Spain. So, okay, they really have that interesting and intriguing feel. But hey, do you think somebody would really wear this kind of clothes? Granting it’s from some famous designer then it must have cost hundreds of dollars. E-X-P-E-N-S-I-V-E!

The MTV Video Music Awards would probably be one of the most glittering nights in Hollywood last September 9 as the biggest and brightest stars came down to show off… err… show support.

Anyway, some were a hit but definitely some also missed

So hit it well in the red carpet? Here are my choices:

For some lack of words, Ashlee Simpson’s just soooo sexy and beautiful. The navy blue mini dress’ just flattered her assets. I just love the whole package.

It was one big night for American youth as some of TV, movie, and sport celebrities gathered for the 2007 Teen Choice Awards.

And when there’s party, these stars go on parading their best frocks. However, exhibiting for teen audience is relatively different to other red carpet events. The following stars would definitely be my choice[s] for the event’s hit dressers.

Awarded as Choice Female Hottie, Jessica Alba was definitely a looker lighting up the grassy green carpet in an Azario yellow dress.

One thing I envy about celebrities is that they get to wear various accessories and jewelry.

I actually found out this site that serves as an online sourcebook of jewelry designs. And guess what? They’re for editors, costume designers and stylist who need innovative ideas to accessorize stars.

The site is entitled Lup Rocks, and as mentioned earlier, it features a showroom of jewelry and accessories that you can mix and match.

I just wish to see myself in magazines someday and wear those stuff.

With the line-up of transformation, Kelly proves that Breaking Away isn’t that bad after all.

Okay, Monet, work with me here. I’m trying to understand what is going on in your shoulder area.

Is it a towel? Did you just come from racquetball, but realized as you changed in the locker room that you were really still too sweaty to go straight to an event, and so cut your nasty gym towel into something resembling. . .well, a towel with sleeves, and wore it to soak up all the sweat? Because, if so, ew.

Or maybe it’s the remnants of your bathrobe. Like, maybe you’re really not feeling well, like REALLY not feeling well, and you were at home in your bathrobe like a normal sick person, but your agent came over and was like, “You HAVE to go to this event. How else will people remember you even exist?” And tried to drag you out of the house by the hem of your bathrobe, which ripped someplace around your ribcage, very unevenly I might add, and in a fit of pique at your pushy-ass agent, you insisted on wearing it.

Help me out here, Monet, because I haven’t even STARTED on why you’re wearing brown tights.
