Katy Perry

Clad in a Basil Soda Spring 2009 collection, the “I Kissed a Girl” singer is much herself that night. – Not so typical yet you can’t decide whether you’d love to love her or hate her.

And that is exactly the look. It’s something that is so Katy Perry yet I don’t know if I love it or hate it. So I guess I’ll just leave it as that.

Natalie Cole

For women with dark complexion (like me) I’ve always believed that orange is not really a flattering color. For last night’s Grammys, Natalie Cole has me to prove that. To make things worse, I can’t help but think of Nemo with the look. And yes, the chain is just lost!

Sorry Nat, this has got to be a miss!

LeAnn Rimes

LeAnn Rimes’s Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti halter top and full taupe skirt; love it or hate it? Well I would definitely go to love it.

Although this ain’t really a red carpet material frock, the frock’s simplicity and glamour is enough for this to be a hit.

Paula Abdul

Wearing a yellow gown with gold accents from Middle Eastern designer Basil Soda, - the same designer of Katy Perry – Paula Abdul is literally a golden girl at the Grammys.

Do I love it? Hmmm… honestly, I don’t for a reason I can’t put to words. So it’s plain and simple, I don’t like it.

Sheryl Crow

Looking okay but oh so I’ve-seen-that-a-million-times, Sheryl Crow walked the red carpet wearing a water-mix blue Toni Maticevski gown. Glam, yes. But I think what the gown didn’t have is some accent or at least some focus on it. It’s just dull for me.

We are still here with our Celebrity Fashion Watch 51st Annual Grammy Awards Special. We’ve seen the looks of Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, and Miley Cyrus, as we continue with our fashion coverage; here are more stars from last night’s event.

Gwyneth Paltrow

Looking pale and quite so unprepared, Gyneth Paltrow donned on an intricately beaded Versace dress with Chopard earrings.

Again, I’m telling you, I really am not into super glossy glimmering frocks, not when it seems to look like a disco ball already. And although I appreciate Gwen’s effort to stand out, for me, it still didn’t show. Her hair was unglamorous too as if it complimented her pale complexion.

Leona Lewis

Gold like the night’s trophy, singer, Leona Lewis walked last night’s red carpet wearing a curve-hugging Randi Rahm Couture gown with Ippolita bangles and Lucifer Vir Honestus ring.

But although I appreciate how the gown flattered Leona’s curves, I don’t think I am a fan of this kind of style.

Kate Beckinsale

Like she was lost for the Oscars, Kate Beckinsale arrived at the Grammys looking quite too dressed with her floor-sweeping black Reem Acra gown with silver bangles and diamond earrings.

Sure I love the dramatic effect of the gown, it really awed me. However, something tells me the actress was just overdressed at the event.

Audrina Patridge

Proving that she can hit the red carpet without having to spend too much (at least in a celebrity status perspective), The Hills star, Audrina Patridge rocked at last night’s event wearing a $350-worth teal Tadashi gown. A little styling, glam ‘do, and dramatic make-up, voila!

Jennifer Hudson

Probably one of the night’s best dressed personality, Jennifer Hudson did not fail to impress the people with her origami pleated, black-and-white RM by Roland Mouret dress.

So chic and so classy!

Carrie Underwood sure have thought of well how she will look for last night’s 51st Annual Grammy Awards. Both on the red carpet and for her performance, the American Idol winner and country belle never failed to impress the audience.

For the red carpet, Carrie dons on a lovely embellished gold gown by Zuhair Murad accessorized with a Nancy Gonzalez clutch and Johnathon Arndt jewels. For her performance on the show, she then switches to a sexy frock that showcased her long, shapely, and beautiful pair of legs. Carrie’s choice of fashion sure is flawless; I love this chick’s fashion taste.

Bagging a Grammy Award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance for the song “Last Name,” Carrie Underwood has just made herself one certified hit.

Another celebrity who looked absolutely elegant with their Grammy red carpet look if only they’re a bit older is Miley Cyrus.

Sure the long black one-shoulder Max Azria gown brought out the sophisticated lady in her, but somehow there’s something with the look that too grown up for her age. Fortunately or unfortunately, it’s not only me who thinks this look is way out of Miley’s age. Here are some comments from E!online readers about this look of M:
