Jessica Alba is the new face of the 2009 Campari calendar ad campaign.

And with that said, I guess we can all say that after giving birth to her daughter, Honor, Jessica is finally back with her sex symbol image.

But is she really?

Attending the calendar’s launching at La Permanente in Italy yesterday (December 2), the new mom showed off the goddess that she is with her Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2009 red satin dress.

On second thought, although I love the dress on Jessica, I’m not really sure if that supported her sexy image. No, I don’t mean she show flesh and all, it’s just that I think that frock quite suppressed Jess’ sexiness; an ‘understated sexiness’ that is I guess.

Well if it’s any consolation, I super adore the hair and make-up! Love it!

Nicole Richie would have been my favorite celebrity fashion dresser this year, but last year, it has to be Jessica Alba!

Months after giving birth to her daughter, Honor, Jess is back here in Celebrity Fashion Watch wowing us with her new rockin’ bangs.

Wearing a jeweled black Gucci gown, the sexy actress and new mom arrives at the Keep a Child Alive 5th Annual Black Ball in New York City with a svelte figure and oh-so chic bangs!

But while I so love this look from Jessica, E!online’s Fashion Police thinks otherwise, saying, “Someone wasn’t there to say when to Jessica Alba, so she just kept piling on the bad. The Gucci dress is too baggy (where’s that figure fanboys drool over?), the statement necklace is too much and the bangs are…just awful.”

Oh well, everything’s just a matter of preference, right?!

Well I have always been vocal about how I love Jessica Alba’s sense of style and fashion; and when she took a time away from the limelight to focus on her new roles as wife to Cash Warren and mother to their newborn baby, Honor, I wondered if she’ll still have the same ‘fashion impact’ as she had prior to her pregnancy.

Last Sunday (August 18), Jessica Alba finally made her first red carpet appearance through the ALMA Awards after she gave birth. Were we impressed or disappointed with the ‘new’ Jess?

With a mannequin figure (not to mention face) like Jessica Simpson, it’s actually not a wonder that she’ll look good with everything she’d wear. Just take a look at this simple green gown accentuated with a purple flower. Isn’t she lovely?!

Well looking at Jess being dressed up by celebrity hairstylist, Ken Paves for the Hairdo Extensions photo shoot actually brings me to nostalgia when I was a little girl and struggling to draw a beautiful paper doll. Well growing up in an “underprivileged�? family, I never really had the chance to have my own Barbie doll so I settled dressing up various paper dolls.

On second thought, I guess it’s more fun dressing up a life-sized and breathing Barbie like Jess than the plastic one, right?!

Anyway, with a Barbie-ish look that Jess has, I actually wouldn’t be surprised if I learn that Dallas Cowboys quarterback beau, Tony Romo would declare himself the living Ken and offer his living Barbie the best flowers in the world to please her.

And of course, when it comes to flowers, 1800flowers is the best place to be. With over a hundred stores from coast to coast, I’m sure Tony won’t have a hard time in putting a smile to Jess’s face. After who wouldn’t love to receive fresh cut flowers or foliage plants in decorative vases and planters on various occasions, right?!

It’s Versus time again, ladies and gentlemen. Today’s Versus edition is still related to our Oscars coverage; featuring two of the best looks at the 80th Academy Awards. – Hot momma, Jennifer Garner and sexy mom-to-be, Jessica Alba.

Who do you think wore the best make-up at the event?

For Mrs. Afleck, being the first presenter of the night means giving an impact to the audience. To do this, Adir Abergel for Frederic Fekkai, her hairstylist, put emphasis on her eyes through black cat-eye liner paired with shimmering nude lips.

I personally like those slashes on her eyes; they’re definitely eye catching. Jen’s make-up sure hit well with her skin tone that they look so natural.

Cash Warren’s fiancé on the other hand, is like a modern goddess with her braided updo made by her hairstylist, Robert Ramos. Add that with golden eyes and sun-kissed glowing skin, and viola, one truly divine and mesmerizing look!

Now I know you have your own bets for Oscars best looks, but with these two as the choices, you do you think looked better than the other?

I still must have had some post-Valentine jitters as I still feel like being mushy and romantic up to this time.

Well let me see, we’ve featured Hollywood’s top three couples and their love stories, and then we’ve featured ideas for sexy lingerie (perfect for honeymooners. Now let’s try to talk about Jessica Simpson’s romantic (yet fashionable) way of celebrating the day of hearts ala Texas-style with her beau, Dallas Cowboys quarterback, Tony Romo.

Dining together at Nove Italiano restaurant in Dallas, the two were the center of everyone’s attention with Jess clad in a sexy crimson dress. Over a Cristal champagne, spaghetti bolognaise, and chocolate-covered strawberries, the pair were certainly feeling so romantic towards each other.

Hmmm… Shall we be hearing wedding bells soon? If ever, I can certainly make a recommendation for Jessica’s bridal shower favors at Truly Wedding Favors. Well spare me this part; am a girl, and like most girls, we get over excited when we hear the word wedding. There’s wedding fashion and there’s bridal shower. How exciting!

So let’s see what are some fab things to give for bridal shower favors. There’s a cute cookie cutter, leather stiletto keychain, heart salt and pepper shakers (sweet!), and just so much more!

Oh I guess I just went too excited for that. But really, as Jessica Simpson’s fan, I truly wish and hope she’s already find THE ONE. I would definitely love to see her walk down the aisle (again) in a beautiful white gown saying her “I do�?.

From Victoria Beckham’s sickly look and Mena Suvari’s I-don’t-know-what-to-call-that gown, I really thought Celebrity Fashion Watch would all just be helluva fug-it-yourself drama this year. Fortunately there’s this star that made my day bright and actually made me have a change of mind. – Jessica Alba.

Of course everybody knows that I am a big fan. But seeing Jess’s photos for Elle’s February cover, I bet you too would find yourself hypnotized.

Sporting a flirty Gucci strapless minidress on the mag’s cover, the mum-to-be is just radiant with uber-sexiness and seduction. Oh, I just can’t help wanting to be just like her… SUPER!

You know what’s so great about Jess is that she can dress up anything she wants, wherever her mood takes her, and she still looks just perfect. Well she better savor that moment until that baby bump grows. And from then, it’s goodbye skinny jeans and body-fitting shirts.

Six months ago, my interest for fashion would probably be a so-so; well that was before I started blogging here for Celebrity Fashion Watch. Now, whenever I see any celebrity, the first thing that comes to my mind is: blog blog blog.

And certainly, “Jessica Simpson Collection�? is blog-worthy. Introduced by the collector herself, Jessica Simpson wowed everyone with her gallery of various fashion stuffs at the Macy’s Herald Square in New York City.

It was not until I took over this blog and started writing reviews, rants, commentaries, whatever you call it that pertains to celeb’s latest fashion hits and misses that I learned that I am a fan of Jessica Alba. Well you can just count number of posts I had centered on her unique, glamorous, and chic looks.

And although I have been purposely trying to avoid doing one more entry about her, there are things that are just hard to avoid. With these last three events that Jessica Alba attended, I could not decide which look suits her best. Thus, I decided to put this entry under versus. Having been named as one of People magazine’s best dressed women in 2007, it’s no wonder Ali Larter kept banging the fashion scene with her uber-fashionable taste.

However, I guess something’s wrong with this red and black checkered sleeveless dress she wore during the Elle Magazine Women in Hollywood Tribute held at the Four Seasons Hotel.

Okay, this may be subject to a personal opinion but the dress reminds of a Chinese checkers board game my sisters and I used to play. I don’t know, but it seems hard for me to appreciate the frock although the Heroes star carried it well; always with class and sophistication. I guess that’s because of the hue since I’m really not into red and black combinations. Maybe it’s also due to the dress’ folds or cut that I do not understand.

Or maybe, I am just sour graping because I still can’t accept she made it to People’s list and not Jessica Alba. *Hehehe*

Oh no, am not a big fan of Jessica Alba; although I really think she deserves to be in the list (if not number 1) for People magazine’s Top Ten Best Dressed celebrities of 2007.

Well I’ve been following several of her fashion ‘display’ and man, she’s great! Whether in the red carpet or in busy streets, Jess never fails to put people in awe.

Wearing a Prada sequined frock for Good Luck Chuck LA premiere, Alba just looks so divine. While attending the 32nd Annual Toronto International Film Festival, Jess settles for a rugged look without taking glam out of it. Following that is a cute yellow chiffon dress that she donned during the Teen Choice Awards. How about that chain sash gown during the Annual Fashion Rocks? – Classic and beautiful.

I guess Jess’ secret for always making it big in the fashion scene is that she’s all in one; cute, sophisticated, glamorous, hip, cool. I wonder why she didn’t make it to the top ten?

Now I guess that really sounds like a fan. ***wink***

When you’re a star (specially a big one), fashion is really important to make impressions (either good or bad). This year, People magazine released its choice for the best dressed celebrities. So let’s see who made it to the list.

Topping the list is Destiny’s Child’ Beyoncé Knowles. Well I must agree, Beyonce never miss to get the people’s attention whether in the red carpet or in busy streets.
