Jordin Sparks in Pantera

Tuesday, September 9th, 2008

So you’ve seen Jordin Sparks and the rest of the stars in their most glamorous and fabulous looks at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards last Sunday. But did you know that Jordin’s eye-catching look wouldn’t be complete without Pantera?

Yep, the American Idol star’ gold feather ear cuff from Pantera Jewels, leant a rock and roll edge to Jordin’s lady-like dress.

Pantera jewels, a new favorite of many stars such as Kim Kardashian, Hayden Panettiere, Paris Hilton and Michelle Yeoh is Hollywood’s newest craving. Pantera, most famous for the ear cuffs (seen here on Jordin) combine glamour with a new symbolic take on the rock and roll look . Using 14 and 18kt gold in every color and diamonds in black or white, these precious jewels are unlike any other.

Pantera fine jewelry collection’s logo is a Black Panther paw, the designer’s favorite animal. The animal’s description: graceful, sleek, exotic and very powerful, fully describes the jewelry line. Each piece has an empowering energy with a deep symbolic meaning and a story behind it. The symbols used by Pantera include the Fleur De Lis, the Malteze Cross, the Angel wing and the Dagger which all have deep historical and symbolic meaning. The feather that Jordin wears here is no exception – feathers have served as symbols of royalty for kings and chiefs. Feathers are also symbols of healing or symbols of sacred power for cultures as far back as the Egyptians, Asian and Celtic eras.

The ear cuff worn here by Jordin is 14 Gold and retails for $900. The ear cuff with the feather charm is detachable and can be worn with any earring. The cuff attaches to the top of the ear without need for piercing.

2008 MTV Video Music Awards Looks: Who Hit; Who Missed?! (Part 2)

Monday, September 8th, 2008

You’ve already seen the first batch of the various interesting looks (both best and worst) at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards last night on my previous post. And now, let’s continue with our celebrity fashion scope on the recently concluded awards night.

Starting off the second batch is the night’s biggest winner, Britney Spears in a glittering vintage Atelier Versace dress matched with Platt jewels and Jimmy Choo heels. So it took her a year to ‘recover’ from her last year’s VMA disaster number, but Britney showed she indeed can make her comeback. Britney bagged three Moonmen that include the night’s big honor, video of the year, for her hit “Piece of Me.”

Jordin Sparks

Jordin Sparks

Somebody, please get a help for Jordin!

First, she looks like she’s about to erupt in her red dress during the 2008 Kids’ Choice Awards. Now, she’s attending a Halloween party! What is happening to Jordin Sparks?!

Attending Muhammad Ali’s Celebrity Fight Night XIV at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Arizona, the American Idol Season 6 winner looks so scary in black gown (with a ribbon!) and unruly hair. I can actually picture her as a wicked witch with this look.

Sigh, at 17 and with such brilliant voice, I guess it’s time Jordin get herself a good fashion consultant. With all the success that she’s getting now, aside from an award, it’s a good fashion taste that’s lacking in her. As a public figure, I believe she should also be conscious of this.
