Lauren Conrad gets classy and elegant at the Honor Hopes

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

Lauren Conrad. Sexy, hot, and a certified fashionista.

But what makes this “The Hills” star different from other stars is her subtle but definitely classy looks.

Take for example this Diane von Fürstenberg frock she wore attending the Hope Honors hosted by the Avon Foundation at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York last night. – Simple but nonetheless elegant just like the actress is.

While we would expect louder, edgier, and more experimental looks from a fashion designer like Lauren, I guess the actress settles to be more on a ‘safer zone’.

Hope Honors “recognized outstanding leaders who provide hope, support, help, and healing, in the fight against breast cancer and domestic violence.”

Others stars who graced the event were Patrick Dempsey, Jordin Sparks, and Suze Orman.

2008 MTV Video Music Awards Looks: Who Hit; Who Missed?! (Part 3)

Tuesday, September 9th, 2008

Whew! It seems like we really can’t get enough of last night’s MTV Video Music Awards. We already had two batches of the various celebrity fashion looks at the event.

Now, here’s the last and final batch of those looks that hit and missed last night.

Rihanna, Rihanna, Rihanna… I guess being edgy and different is just her way of presenting who she is. And always on her daring self (when it comes to style), the singer graced the event with a layered and gilded bustier dress with white T-strap pumps matching her platinum streak in a cropped ‘do. While I can’t say that I so love the frock, I guess her pumps did the magic for me. – Love it!

Lauren Conrad takes the Sagging Boobies Award from Rumer Willis

Thursday, August 21st, 2008

When Rumer Willis attended the Power of Paws launch party last July, I really thought that would be the last time I’d ever see a bad display of sagging cleavage. However, I didn’t expect somebody would ever dare doing that ‘trick’ again.

Attending the fourth season premiere of The Hills, young fashion designer and actress, Lauren Conrad proved that she can do better (or worse!).

Clad in a plunging floor-sweeping Roberto Cavalli down accessorized with an armful of delicate bangles, I’m actually torn between liking or hating this look.

So, did she do better or worse than Rumer?

Better:

Let’s face it, the golden glow of the dress is enough for Lauren to look really ethereal and class.

Worse:

I just can’t stand the sag! But I guess the dress was really meant to make the boobies sag. Style? Fashion? I dunno!

Lovely Lauren Conrad in black

Sweet, sassy, and charming. I actually have to admit that these qualities endeared Lauren Conrad to me.

Visiting the Late Show with David Letterman in New York City, The Hills star and new fashion designer was clad in an asymmetrical black frock paired with simple jewelry and a warm smile that’s oh-so lovely.

Aside from her not-so long and shapely legs, I have to say Lauren was really looking good and refreshed. This by the way reminded me if she already made a statement about her Heidi Montag’s comments on her fashion line.

Well if I were LC, I’d rather not make a statement anymore and just let Heidi be. The fashion industry is big enough to cater all talented individuals specially to young and brilliant girls like them. Besides, it’s the Lenten season.

Heidi Montag VS Lauren Conrad: Who’s got the better fashion line?

Sunday, March 16th, 2008

lauren-vs-heidi.jpg

“Lauren’s line is not necessarily something I would wear - she’s trying a high-fashion thing, but it’s a little overpriced. Mine is fun and flirty for the everyday woman. Most people can’t afford $200 for one dress.? Heidi Montag tells Us Magazine.

Hey gals and fashionistas alike! Today’s versus edition takes a literal meaning of the word as two of The Hills stars battle it out with their newly released fashion lines. – Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag.

Well just after LC (Lauren Conrad) made her debut at the Mercedes-Benz L.A. Fashion Week, her ‘former’ best friend, Heidi Montag came up with her own fashion line bringing their feud to a new level.

Heidi was really vocal about her impression to Lauren’s designs. In an interview with Us Magazine, the 21-year old aspiring singer attacked LC’s ability as a designer saying attending school together, she was the designer and the latter was just like in product development. Woooo… But who really got the best designs?

lauren-conrad-collection.jpg

Contrary to Heidi’s impression, Lauren Conrad’s designs are really chic and classy; it all spells G-L-A-M-O-U-R. Her designs are actually something worth showing off. However, being a high-end fashion line, I don’t think it will be something an ordinary fashionista can afford. I’d probably still have to get myself some bad credit loans to be able to buy any of those.

Well getting some loan is probably a good idea if you badly want to get that Lauren Conrad design you want. But with the increasing number of ‘bad credit’ consumers in the US, I suggest you get the help of Bad Credit Offers. I’m sure it can give you all the solution to your credit needs; including a Lauren Conrad frock. Still, I believe it ain’t practical to spend so much for a dress.

On the other hand, Heidi Montag’s are those a girl can wear on the streets and woman can sport on at work. They’re not as fab as those of Lauren’s but it boasts of its affordability. With dresses, tops, jeans, bags, and jewelry that are all priced under $60; this is just perfect for those who can’t afford to spend much for fashion.

In the end, it still boils down to whose fashion line do you want to wear? With designs and price as factors, be the judge.

What I didn’t know about Lauren Conrad

Thursday, March 13th, 2008

lauren-the-designer.jpg

I must’ve been so left behind in the fashion and Hollywood scene that I actually didn’t know that Lauren Conrad is actually a fashion designer, and a good one for that matter. Okay, I know most people would probably say, “Duh! That’s not news!? but really, I didn’t know.

If I didn’t see this cute photo of her peeking out from the backstage of her Lauren Conrad Collection Fall 2008 show at the Mercedes-Benz L.A. Fashion Week then I wouldn’t have really known.

Looking this excited, The Hills star sure looked like she just got herself a 5 free ringtone bonus for her subscriptions for ringtones from Remy Ma. At 22, Lauren has really gone so far from a reality show personality to an actress and now a designer.

Oh, I think I’m back to dreaming of having a fashion career again.
