Oh, those aren’t scales? I’m sorry I know Paris Hilton would not wear something as crazy as scales in a special event like the special screening of her documentary film, Paris, Not France, but seeing her in this photo, I actually was not able to think the event was the launching of her latest perfume, Siren (where she portrays as a mermaid).

Okay, the Roberto Cavalli Resort 2009 dress was not really that bad, but I guess matching it with that Le Silla shoes and those diamond bracelet and diamond earrings made this look uber sparkly it was just so hard to look at Paris without squinting.

Fortunately (like really thankfully!), Paris Hilton managed to leave those sparkling headbands that she currently fancies to wear or she would end up blinding the papz literally.

We’ve all been witnesses to the looks of Claudia Schiffer, Diane Kruger, Diane Von Teese, Elizabeth Hurley, and Hayden Panettiere at Thursday’s amfar’s 16th annual Cinema Against AIDS Benefit. Now let’s check out the other looks that night.

Paris Hilton

Seemingly unaware that she came to the event quite overly, Paris Hilton was one eyecatcher (take that in a bad way) with her Basil Soda Spring 2009 Couture gown. Come on Paris, the gown’s embellishments should’ve been enough; the headband, necklace, and bracelet aren’t necessary.

Peaches Geldof

Looking like a forest nymph – if not for those smoky scary eyes – socialite Peaches Geldof ought to teach Paris what minimal, if not sans, accessories for an embellished gown. Yeah, this could’ve really been a hit if only Peaches downplayed the make-up department.

Sharon Stone

With her asymmetrical Dior gown, with silver strappy Dior heels, Sharon Stone has definitely not looked this better. This look here showed that there’s more than the frock and jewels in getting the audience’s attention; there has to be that sense of character and wisdom acquired through time and experience.

Ziyi Zhang

In an ethereal nude gown, Ziyi Zhang sure has captivated the audience not for the grandeur of her look but for the innate charm and grace that she possesses. Contrary to other personalities who arrived in the event overly accessorized to get the people’s attention, the actress proved less is actually more.

Well that completes this batch of amfar’s 16th annual Cinema Against AIDS Benefit looks. Who do you think had the best look and who do you think otherwise?

Now before you start laughing there, I am not talking about Paris Hilton feeling like her Tinkerbell – the Chihuahua she so love to bring along everywhere before. I’m actually talking about Paris trying to be Tinkerbell the fairy.

Clad in a Roberto Cavalli floral chiffon maxi dress accessorized by diamante headband, a huge silver necklace, and multiple bracelets, Paris Hilton is actually achieving that fairy look – ethereal and breathtaking; of course that is besides looking stupid with her childish poses and all. This look she wore in one cocktail party during the 62nd Annual Cannes Film.

Why Paris Hilton is in France when she doesn’t have anything to promote for the festival is still one big mystery for me. On second thought, it probably ain’t much mystery when you think about it. Most of Hollywood’s brightest stars – not to mention the media’s attention to it – being there, of course Paris would want herself to be there!

Well not exactly.

But somehow, the sparkly yellow cocktail dress that Paris Hilton wore at the Nokia 5800 Launch Event kind of reminds me of a banana, - a sparkly and expensive banana.

Now we all know that the heiress really has a fancy over attention-grabbing frocks but I don’t think this one is something that would really wow and put anybody in awe.

But although I am apparently not impressed with Paris’s sense of fashion here, I’m actually not disappointed either. You know, I wasn’t expecting much of Paris really.

Despite her recent breakup with her boyfriend for nine months, Benji Madden, Paris Hilton proves that this does not stop her from doing business.

And business that is, Paris was all royalty-like launching her new fragrance, “Fairy Dust by Paris Hilton” Macy’s Woodbridge Center in New Jersey yesterday (November 30).

Clad in a turquoise blue outfit by Yoana Baraschi and accessorized in her own designer-label shoes, the heiress definitely dazzled.

However, inspite of the dazzling outfit and glamorous jewels, Paris’ eyes revealed otherwise. – Sad and spiritless (or they always are?). Well I guess Paris still is affected with the split…

So talk about hotness and sexiness, the 27-year-old heiress attends the 2008 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show at the Fontainebleau Hotel yesterday (November 15) in Miami in a hot and sexy outfit. Or is it?

Well I hate to say this, but, sorry Paris this look is totally NOT hot!

For one you look like an ostrich with the dress; an ugly ostrich with really ugly legs and super skinny frame.

Come on, I know you hate it when people suspect you having any eating disorder, but with this look? One can’t help but really think you are anorexic. All I’m actually seeing here is your bony figure. And that shouldn’t flatter you.

At least that is what Paris Hilton thinks, or wants to believe as she dressed up in her most rock star look at the Diesel XXX - The Creative Experiment at The O2 Arena in London, England last night.

Yup, while her frienemy, Lindsay Lohan turned up the heat at the Diesel xXx Rock & Roll Circus in New York last night, Paris Hilton has brought the rock-n-roll fashion in an edgy and vampy level.

In her leather jackets, skinny jeans, heavy make-up, and rockin’ bang hair would we ever doubt Paris’s passion for getting the people’s attention? I must simply say, I love the look!

It’s cool, it’s black, and has given Paris that certain rock star aura.

The much anticipated premiere of Paris Hilton’s latest MTV reality show, “Paris Hilton’s My New BFF” has finally come in American televisions last night (September 30).

And in a mixture of vamp and a “rock star’s girl” look, - a black frock, faux hair, and bold make up - the show’s ‘puppet master,’ Paris Hilton was all set to showcase her latest try in the world of reality TV.

But was the look catchy enough to create more hype for the show? Ummm… I am quite unsure.

The dress was a bit frumpy while the hair was a little bit unglamorous given that it’s fake and supposed to give that glamorous look in an instant (according to its press release).

‘Guess that’s just how her boyfriend, Benji Madden influence her sense of style now.

Anyway, Paris has just released her latest single, “My BFF,” which will also be the show’s theme. Check the lyrics here.

Whew! It seems like we really can’t get enough of last night’s MTV Video Music Awards. We already had two batches of the various celebrity fashion looks at the event.

Now, here’s the last and final batch of those looks that hit and missed last night.

Rihanna, Rihanna, Rihanna… I guess being edgy and different is just her way of presenting who she is. And always on her daring self (when it comes to style), the singer graced the event with a layered and gilded bustier dress with white T-strap pumps matching her platinum streak in a cropped ‘do. While I can’t say that I so love the frock, I guess her pumps did the magic for me. – Love it!

Jut after Paris Hilton made a bang in Malibu launching her latest business venture, a hair extension called “Bandit,” Paris strolls over the place looking fresh and girly in a floral printed summer tube dress.

Of course Paris wouldn’t be Paris without her signature color, pink that just gave the look its charming and really adorable feel. With her hair (obviously just an extension) down, the 27-year old heiress and socialite would probably send creeps to her haters with this saccharin look.

Bandit is a DreamCatchers product that can add up to 22 inches of 100 percent polyester hair to the wearer via Velcro. In its press release, it’s often described as “the first interchangeable hair extension headband.”

Since it was Nicky Hilton who was featured in my last post here in Celebrity Fashion Watch, I guess it would be interesting if the post that comes next to that is about her sister, Paris Hilton.

So okay, while Nicky opted to try a new look, via a ‘semi-rock star’ fashion, her elder sister, Paris chose to stay in her comfort zone as she attends the launching of her shoe line at PURE Nightclub in Las Vegas last Tuesday.

No, this isn’t Paris Hilton Watch you are reading. And although I sometimes get confused with these two blogs I’m maintaining, I guess it’s inevitable to do some crossing over. Paris is after all a celebrity and a (self-proclaimed) fashion icon.

Now back to business here in Celebrity Fashion Watch.

So, who doesn’t want to look and dress like the socialite heiress? I guess despite the notorious image, it’s undeniable that a lot of women still want to have that trademark glamour of Paris. However, with Paris’s stature it’s no question that her frocks could cause a lot of money… Or so we thought…

Browsing over the internet, I came upon this site called My Designer Closet. It specializes in the resale of pre-owned designer items in a much lower price.

Isn’t that just having to dress like Paris in more than half the price?!

“There’s no truth to any starvation, eating disorders, rumors.�?

In her latest public stint, promoting her new fashion line during the L.A. Fashion Week, Nicky Hilton, answered and denied the speculations of her having some eating disorder.

A month after that interview, Paris Hilton’s less controversial sister goes out shopping at Barney’s in Los Angeles clad in a sexy jeans and simple white t-shirt that sure showed a better and healthier her. Well comparing to her previous appearances, Nicky looked like she’s really gained some weight here.

Or it could be just the photo and the angles, too, huh?! Or just the jeans?

Honestly, it could probably be just the jeans. Come on, Nicky’s legs ain’t that beautiful at all!

Well maybe not. Maybe she really gained some wait and is trying to live a healthier life, now?! I noticed her cheeks are rosier and her body looks fuller now.
