Dreamgirls, Indeed.
I’m not a huge Beyonce fan. I think her voice is reedy and annoying, and the whole making-up-words thing (see; bootylicious) does not sit well with me. And she’s usually waaaaay over-the-top in the hair, makeup, and gown categories. And I’m usually pretty vocal about disliking her whole shtick.
But, honey, way to shut me up.

Love. This. Dress.

Gorgeous, darling. Big hair, yes, and lots of beading and glitter, but all wrapped up so elegantly, so prettily. She looks soft and lovely and curvy but not in an aggressive, overblown way.
I don’t know how much her mother had to do with this look- mother as stylist seems like it never really works- but whoever styled her here deserves a cookie. A big melty chocolaty one, because I’ve rarely seen Beyonce look so lovely.

I happen to enjoy the term “bootylicious”, especially when annoying the hell out of all of my friends by singing the song over and over and over and over and over…
I just don’t think, Laura, that you’re ready for this jelly. I don’t think you can handle this!
