Everybody loves Lanvin… But who owns it?
If there’s one look that has noticeably become a trend in terms of celebrity fashion then it would have to be the goddess look. Lately, more and more stars have donned on frocks and gowns literally inspired from the fashion of Greek and/or Roman goddesses.
Well not bad if you ask me. After all, with these stars’ beauties they indeed have the right to be called the gods and goddesses in modern times. However, it wouldn’t be quite okay if stars don’t just look like goddesses but they, too also look the same!
Two stars in one look is not new here in Celebrity Fashion Watch. But three celebs in one (same) goddess look is a first here.
Check out who owns this Lanvin toga…err… dress among Katie Holmes, Padma Lakshmi, and Katie Holmes.
Katie Holmes
In fairness to Tom Cruise’s wifey, Katie’s the first one who took this Grecian goddess look in this blog when she donned this Lanvin dress paired with Chrisitan Louboutin peep toes during the 13th Annual Critics’ Choice Awards. Well at that time I thought the look was just so busted like she just came from a shower rather than attending a special event. After four months, my opinion still holds the same.
Padma Lakshmi
Attending the 36th Annual FIFI Awards in New York City, top chef Padma Lakshmi gave a twist in this yellow orange Lanvin saffron one-shouldered gown by putting on some belt as its accessory. Now I love the innovation of Padma here. But while the vision is to look like a Greciam goddess, this look actually reminds of Delilah (Samson and Delilah).
Gwyneth Paltrow
While both Katie and Padma put on a modern twist in their goddess look, actress Gwynth Paltrow gave her goddess look version at the Chopard Trophy Party in Cannes a classic touch by pairing it with her trademark gladiator heels. With her dazzling jewels and lovely face, I think Gwyneth pulled off this look better than Katie and Padma.
While my opinion is opposite to yours, why don’t you tell me which look you like best?
