Fashion glitters and jitters at the Oscars
Awards shows are probably one of the most exciting events in Hollywood. Of course, this is where anticipations and expectations come in one place. However, I don’t know if Hollywood just had a fashion conspiracy at the 80th Annual Academy Awards in California, but really, seeing the stars looks, it’s so easy to group them according to their frocks.
The Red Ones
Well they are those celebs who took the month of love too seriously. Some have hit it, some didn’t.
Being engaged and in-love, actress Anne Hathaway has the excuse to be bold and daring in her Venus-inspired floor-length Marchesa. She is dazzling.
Oh the Queen of Hearts! Now this is what too much is for me, Heidi Klum’s baggy and heavy looking gown. Nah-ah… MISS!
Charming, sweet, and chic. Miley Cyrus’ red gown is just oh so adorable. It’s just right for her age and sophisticated enough for the event.
Other stars in this category include Dame Helen Mirren in her silky red gown, Julie Christie who’s clad in a fringy frock, and Katherine Heigl in her fab single-shouldered gown.
All in Black
Obviously, they are the stars who chose to be on the safer side wearing classic and sophisticated black gowns.
I guess the most notable in this category are Jennifer Garner who exudes nothing but sheer elegance in her tube gown paired with equally elegant jewels and Hilary Swank’s single-shouldered appliquéd flowers gown.
The Moms-To-Be
Pregnant and fabulous. They are the stars who, despite of their big bumps still manage to look at their best.
There’s Cate Blanchett in her navy blue halter gown. With her look, anyone would think she’d go in labor anytime. I love the bangles by the way.
Nicole Kidman’s black gown accessorized with a ‘trinky’ necklace may not be her best pregnancy look. This look aged her a lot.
I loooooove Jessica Alba’s look! And no, this is not because I am a huge fan. She is really looking great and enchanting.
Well since most of these looks are impressive, I shall be dishing the unforgivable looks on my next post so as not to spoil the fun. That is of course to keep the anticipation and expectations coming…
