Hit it, Miss it: The 2008 Emmy Awards Celebrity Fashion Coverage (Part 1)
They came. They glittered. They conquered.
As Hollywood’s brightest and biggest stars gather for this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards, expect only the best (but sometimes the worst) in celebrity fashion.
Wonder who hit it and missed it at the red carpet last night?
Here’s the list:
America Ferrera
Hit or miss? That is the question. In a vintage black ruched dress, Fred Leighton antique diamonds and Rene Caovilla lace pumps, I am quite torn whether this look is a hit or a miss.
Don’t you think a black dress for Emmy is quite predictable, not to mention boring already?!
Brooke Shields
Making her first trip on Emmy’s red carpet, Brooke Shields sure knows how to make an impression with this fuchsia tiered Badgley Mischka gown paired with Fred Leighton diamonds.
Good or bad impression? That I do not know. But somehow the look seems too 80-ish for me. ‘Guess Brooke forgot that it’s 2008 already.
Christina Applegate
Looking better than ever after struggling from breast cancer, the Outstanding Actress nominee glowed in her blue Reem Acra gown, Lorraine Schwartz diamonds and Jimmy Choo heels.
One piece of advice though, try dishing out that huge terrain next time and maybe it would be a bigger fashion hit.
Christina DeRosa
While many think that black and white are two shades quite predictable for an event as big as the Emmy’s, I guess Christina DeRosa surprised everybody with her white gown. Odd, weird, funny. These are just some words that crossed my mind when I saw this look. For a white gown, this seems too flamboyant.
