Idols (of all ages) Give Back
Behind every ‘idol’ are their fans. For without these fans who are giving unconditional love and support through all the hits and misses of their idol’s Hollywood careers, these stars will never be where they are now. And so, to show their gratitude to their fans, some of Hollywood’s biggest and brightest stars gathered yesterday at the Kodak Theatre to tape the historic Emmy Award-winning television event, “Idol Gives Back.
With the idols arriving the venue, I’m actually a bit amused and amazed thinking the variety of stars that graced the event. And when I say variety, then that includes their looks.
And for you to be able to picture the things I am saying, here are the top looks (in women) during the event:
I guess stating from the youngest idol, Miley Cyrus sure dressed appropriately based on her age and of course her own fans (read: young ones). So casual in jeans but so glam with her sleeveless shirt and boots.
Next in line (based on age) is American Idol winner Carrie Underwood in her Emmy Awards-like pink and gold gown. Well if there’s anyone who should really be present at the event it should really be her, an idol, literally. I so love her hair and makeup, but it’s the gown that I’m not so comfortable looking at with.
Fergie is Tomb Raider in the making! Now this is what I mean with idols catering to their own audience. I just wonder what kind of audience Fergie caters with this look, or just want to look different, plain and simple.
In a sexy pencil cut and a super fab white stilettos, Geri Haliwell a.k.a. Ginger Spice is a picture of contentment and maturity. I just L-O-V-E her shoes!
Whether she’s just dressed appropriately for her age or for her audience, I believe Gloria Estefan should’ve picked herself a better color than black. The frock actually just made Gloria look even older.
Finally, (not necessarily the oldest) Paula Abdul is ravishing in red that featured her ageless assets. Being a Hollywood veteran herself, Paula is actually blooming and beaming!
So, get the picture? Which idol bracket are you in?
