Michelle Yeoh dazzles in a ‘powerful’ necklace
If there’s one trouble I have maintaining a fashion blog, then it would have to be being dependent to first hand fashion blogs like E!online’s Fashion Police, People.com’s StyleWatch, and InStyle’s Look of the Day.
Unfortunately, yes, Celebrity Fashion Watch is somehow just a so-called ‘second-hand’ information fashion blog.
I know some readers really expect me to be an expert in my descriptions on celebrity fashion. But sometimes, no matter how hard I try, there are things that are just beyond my limitations.
But while I have readers who expect a lot from me, I guess I should be thankful for those who offer their help in making this blog a better one. These are my readers who share their knowledge pertaining to celebrity fashion and allow me to write about it.
Take for example this dazzling necklace that Michelle Yeoh wore on the Tokyo press conference of her latest flick, Mummy 3 last August 5.
Normally, I would’ve described that as a “cute and stylish” jewel that went well with her outfit. However, thanks to a reader, I was informed that the dagger necklace was in 18k gold and diamonds by Pantera. Worth a whooping $1,950, the necklace was said to be “a traditional symbol of power especially in ancient Egypt and China”. Guess that’s just appropriate for the film Michelle is promoting.
On the press conference, Michelle, whose birthday came the day after, was presented with a birthday cake that’s decorated with an image of the “Eye of Shangri-La”.
