Spice Girls Then and Now
Memories often bring smile in someone’s face. When I saw this post about the Spice Girls’ big hit reunion, I wasn’t able to help myself typing my own entry about them. Oh, how time flies so fast…
Talking in the context of fashion, the English group consisting of Victoria Adams, Melanie Chisholm, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, and Melanie Brown have truly matured and evolved.
Looking at the photo above you will definitely see a huge difference of the Spice Girls’ get-up then and now. Then, the girls dress up according to their titles; Posh, Sporty, Ginger, Baby, and Scary spices. Wow, I wonder if those elevated shoes are still available.
Let’s take a closer look of those big changes, starting with Victoria. Now known as Mrs. Beckham, Posh Spice is still posh as ever, except for the hair and the boobs.
Mel C., the Sporty Spice looks so much better now. I’m just glad she got rid of those rubber shoes and jogging pants.
Scary Spice is not scary anymore. I love Melanie Brown’s transformation from curly devil hair to a straight and shiny one; she looks so much respectable now.
Baby Spice is baby no more. Goodbye pigtails, hello sexy curls! Emma Bunton sure is a grown up now.
Lastly, Geri Halliwell aka Ginger Spice. Oh she’s my favorite among them then. From red hair to brunette, I love it! Also, her change from mini minis to gypsy-like dress is a showcase of her maturity as a woman.
Wow, was that just ten years? I guess I’m just one of those who really missed those girls. Go Girl Power!
