Yes, they’re back and reunited, we all know that of course. The Spice Girls may seem to have left behind their old fashion statements but I think they also left with it their taste for the present.
Attending Victoria’s Secret’s Fashion Show at the Kodak Theater in California, the girls geared towards making impressions with their latest looks and fashion displays. Of course, the show was Victoria’s Secret’s biggest event this year so expect more than a display of lingerie and skins. However, I don’t understand if the girls did too much or too less of an effort to make an impressive get-up. Put it simply maybe they just forgot it’s a fashion show.
Take a look at Melanie Brown’s hair; I want to burst into laughter because it’s just plain ridiculous. And yeah, the pearls didn’t really match the frock. I guess Melanie’s still living the Scary Spice image here.
On the other hand, I was having a hard time finding Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell here. Unless they realized they’re twins ‘cause they looked really identical – looking like from the cabaret. I don’t know if Geri’s trying to look like Emma or vice versa. Sporting the same hair; fine, sporting similar frocks; not fine.
Melanie Chisholm? Girl, this is a fashion show and not a corporate meeting. And her hair’s still an image in the 80s. Not only is it dowdy, but it is just ugly!
And yeah, Victoria Beckham is still posh (I guess she will forever be). However, I think being posh doesn’t give her the excuse not to wear her frock completely. I mean she looks more of a hanger here. My mom would love to have her here at home.
Anyway, I guess all stars go through the ups and downs in fashion. Maybe the Spice Girls can try again later.
