The Women of the Kids’ Choice Awards (Part 2)

We’ve seen five of the looks that I think topped during the Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards last night. To recall, these are the charming looks of America Ferrera in gold, Brenda Song in floral prints, and Jennifer Love Hewitt in sunny yellow. Then there’s the sexy gray frock of Ashlee Simpson and the ‘leg-flaunting’ dress of Cameron Diaz.

And we are not through yet. Here’s the continuation of the lookers (both hits and misses) during the event:

The reds. Well if a pair of red shoes is now a staple, then I guess a red dress is, too. However, I still believe pulling off a red frock still has risks. For Heroes star, Hayden Panettiere it may look great, but to American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks it didn’t. I have so much respect to Jordin’s talent, but I think her talent doesn’t extend well to fashion. She just looks so bulky with this red dress. Gee, Jordin looks like she’s about to explode!

From the reds, let’s go to the blacks. – Miley Cyrus and Rihanna.

Miley

Miley oh Miley! The teen idol sure glittered at the event. Of course, this is her event… well the event for people her age. I must say that her look is the opposite of Jennifer Love Hewitt’s. While Jen tries to look younger in yellow, here’s Miley trying to look mature in black. Oh well, that’s Hollywood; the veterans try to look young and the youngs try to look old.

Now with Rihanna. Although I’m never a fan of this singer’s fashion statements, I must say her look here at the Kids’ Choice is commendable. I love the its casualness, especially black and pink top. Thumbs up here Rihanna!

Lil

If Rihanna is a thumbs up, singer Lil Ma is a thumbs down. My, I’ve always thought fuchsia as an eyesore in fashion. A fuchsia frock and fuchsia lips. – Disaster!

Well all in all, we’ve seen a lot of fashion hits and minimal misses. So congratulations guys!
