They BET: The looks at the 2009 BET Awards
Hey guys! Before I go on with my post today, I would first like to apologize for taking me some time to update Celebrity Fashion Watch. It has been a crazy month for me – with my masters, teaching job, and some sidelines – but I sure am hoping to make it all up to you this month.
Anyway, as we kick off our post for this month (which sounds late too), let us all take a peek at the looks of the stars who attended last June 29’s BET Awards. Whose look is a hitt, whose is a miss?
Monica
Although I am no fan of liquid leggings – aside from the fact that it’s so yesterday – Monica pulled off this look well pairing it with a glam ruffled top; it’s like a mix of punk and glamour in the red carpet. The hair, the shoes, and the clutch all united to bring character with this look. Hit!
LeToya Luckett
LeToya may have done everything she could to put some spunk in her sequined Balmain mini dress and killer Alejandro Ingelmo shoes, but I don’t think she got what it takes to rock this kind of look.
First, this frock is one big risk to wear in a red carpet. Next, the shoes are just quite off for the event. Sorry, this is a miss for me.
Adrienne Bailon
For a 4’11” tall, Adrienne Bailon sure made a great choice wearing this soft blue strapless bubble dress. Not only did it elongate her – making her look tall – it also gave her that stunning and head-turner look.
Tatiana Ali
We all love stars enjoying their youth. So we wonder why Tatiana opted to look 50 here in her bronze embroidered beaded dress. Surely she can think of a more vibrant and youthful look. MISS!
Amerie
Clad in an Alexander Wang-design, singer Amerie was just one hot hot sight of the event. With her hair down, a little disheveled, she indeed made some statement for the look.
