I’ve been kicking this photograph around for a couple of days now, unable to put my finger on what, exactly, bothers me so much about it. It’s. . .weird, but that isn’t really sufficient to explain it.
I got so tired of staring at it and trying to clear my brain of John Mayer jokes, I went out to my favorite bar to get a delicious watermelon martini, like only Casey at Clouds can make.
And I drank it, and ordered another, because that’s how I roll. And that’s when it hit me.
She looks like a martini glass!
Like a giant, upside-down, vaguely corseted martini glass.
